A shortened URL takes up less space, is more memorable, and keeps your text tidy.
Eg:
https://www.domainname.com/pages/ourteam/janedoe/
to
https://www.domainname.com/juyft
Most short URL plugins for posts should work in Strattic, so long as they hook into the WordPress short URL API and don’t rely on query variables.
In this document, we will look at setting up the Shorten URL plugin.
Step 1:
Install Shorten URL and activate the plugin. After installation, the plugin will automatically generate Short URLs for all your pages.
Please leave default domain as-is in the Shorten URL settings. Both these settings should be disabled/unchecked:
Step 2:
To review the generated short URLs or to change the plugin settings go to SL PLUGINS > SHORT URL from your left-hand menu.
Step 3:
In your Strattic settings (Strattic > Settings > Advanced), the checkbox next to "Shortlinks" should be checked/enabled
Step 4:
Since you've just installed the plugin, you'll need to do a Full Publish on your site first, but any time after that if you're just adding a new page or post a Quick Publish will suffice.
