Strattic supports AAAA Records (IPv6 host address)

AAAA Records are like A records but for IPv6 IP addresses instead of IPv4.

Due to the exhaustion of IPv4 (Internet Protocol version 4) addresses in 2019, the entire Internet will eventually migrate to use IPv6 addresses.

IPv6 has more address space, with 8 sets of addresses that range from 0000-FFFF.

For example;

IPv4

125.255.255.198

IPv6

2023:0db8:0000:0000:0000:0000:1623:57bf.

At Strattic, AAAA (pronounced quad A) records are available for all customers. Adding AAAA records to your DNS will future proof your domain name as more ISPs allow their customers to connect to the internet via IPv6.

These AAAA records can be found along with your other domain records, after connecting your custom domain by navigating to Strattic Dashboard > Site Details > Domain
